animals at Sky camp

livestock

Sky Camp has a history of cattle and sheep grazing, and is home to wild goats and pigs. It’s also a sanctuary for wallaroos, wallabies, wedge-tailed eagles, kangaroos, echidnas and emus.

our cattle

At Sky Camp we run a variety of cattle including Jersey, Angus, Belted Galloway, and our trusty Highland Bull, Arthur.

Our cattle stock are used for milk, cream, cheese, yoghurt and meat. Interested in mustering or milking a cow by hand? We can show you how we do it at Sky Camp.

our goats

In addition to our dorper x damara sheep, we run a large herd of wild goats which have been mostly hand reared. The nannies are crossed with our Boar Billy’s for good weight and meat.

In addition to meat production, we also milk our goats from time to time for milk and soap.

our horses

Our family have experience in horse breaking, training, mustering and trail riding.

We also use our horses for mustering and exploring the forested hills and gullies at Sky Camp.

If you are looking to break in a horse, or you would simply like to learn to ride, give us a shout and we will see what we can do for you.
